Funny story! I just have to tell you!
I am homeschooled, but I go to Homeschool Co-op on Mondays and Wednesdays, which is basically public school for homeschoolers. It's complicated; don't ask.
Co-op takes place at this church that was kind enough to let us use their facilities. Occasionally, the church will having an event of sorts during Co-op hours. Today, there was a bunch of old people (not to sound mean) in the sanctuary, having a meeting or something. I don't know.
So, after my last class was over, I went outside and sat down on the cold concrete, waiting for my parents to come get me.
I was just doing my own thing, writing and texting and whatnot. The meeting must have ended, and I kept subconsciously noticing people leaving the church and walking past me. Like, my senses picked up on their presence, but I wasn't really consciously aware of it, if that makes any sense...
So, I was looking down at my phone, trying to sync it with my watch. I wasn't paying any attention to my sorroundings. Two women and a man came out the doors, and started walking past me to the parking lot. I subconsciously noticed the man stop in front of me, but I paid it no mind. I assumed he was just stopping to do something, and kept on doing my thing.
So, like five seconds later, I look and he's got this purple pen shoved in my face (literally; it was like four inches away) and he goes, "Do you want an ink pen?"
In my mind I was going, "WTHeck?" But I was like, "Um, sure. Thank you," and I took the pen. He, and the two women with him, just smiled and walked away. I was left wondering what exactly had just happened, and just how long he would have stood there, waiting for me to look up.
I'm seriously wondering if I've been punked. Like, if that was some joke or some dare or something. 'Cause seriously, you should have seen the looks on their faces when I took the pen...it was weird. It probably has a tracker in it or something; I'll probably get drafted into some Narnia army soon. (Which I gotta say, I wouldn't mind too much.)
It's a cool pen, though. It's a pretty shade of purple. But it has the name of some hospice home on it, so I'm not sure I'll use it...it's kinda depressing.
So anyway, that was my wacky experience!
